BEHIND THE PEN AND PAPER
As an experienced educator and CVT/RCIS, our founder, Samantha Propper, recognized the need for updated and accessible information in the Cath and EP Lab industries. That is why she created Don't Miss A Beat and Don't Miss The His - to fill the gap and provide a one stop shop for all your Cath and EP Lab study needs!
From writing on the whiteboard to illustrations in the palms of your hands.

DONT MISS A BEAT - FOUNDED
2022
What started as fun quizzes for my students on a social media channel turned into a life and career changing calling.

A CALLING
2020
What I thought would be temporarily teaching, turned out to be a calling. It was my favorite day to look forward to and never felt like work. Between 2017-2020 I had increased the amount of courses I was teaching until I took a full-time job teaching and exited the lab. During COVID I worked in the device industry while teaching to still somehow help my cardiac community.

CATH LAB + ADJUNCT
2017
Shortly after starting my new career I decided to give back and teach on my day off. Working 4/10s and teaching 1 day a week.

new grad cvt/rcis
2016
Freshly graduated and hired into a high volume cardiac and vascular lab. Nervous, hard working and praying she doesn't mess up before scrubbing in.
Phenomenal education resource for any employee within the Cath Lab. As a tech I found this to be undeniably the best book to learn all things Cath Lab. She is so thorough and intelligent in all parts of her book that it is impossible not to be able to understand anything presented. I am beyond grateful for all her books I have bought- worth every penny! - Brook
These books are GREAT. As a newbie to the field, this has really helped me to get a handle on the what and whys of our job in the Cath Lab. It breaks down every aspect of the job, and for us techs it’s written for how our brains are wired! The seasoned techs give it all the stars, and our manager is considering adding it to the department as a training tool for future inexperienced new hires. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Mandy
I am a new cath lab tech and I feel this book is going to help me tremendously! All of my coworkers when I showed them said it’s a very good book and explains a lot. I am a visual learner and this is perfect! - Renee
